As time goes by,

we will grow

closer or apart

stumble 

or even fall and fail.

Hearts will tangle

or untangle if we allow

memories will be saved

Or perhaps fade in the chaos.

We will cry and laugh

lose and gain

hit our highest

or hit rock bottom.

Time will pass

or stand still in our minds.

As time goes by

Castles will be built

yet many destroyed

Maybe you and me

will walk this land still

Or her and him

Maybe them.

As time goes by

perhaps they will learn

from us or of us.
